A new Eroski Supermarket in the center of San Sebastián

SiGLA completes the project of an urban supermarket in the heart of San Sebastián.

SiGLA’s project engineering area acts as designer and project manager in the latest Eroski implementation in the Basque Country.


With experience in the development of more than 350 commercial projects, SiGLA’s project engineering area has just completed the implementation of a new Eroski supermarket in the capital of Gipuzkoa, which opened to the public on May 18.

In this case, the tasks of drafting the project, construction management, coordination of unions and the complete management of the licenses and permits necessary for its opening and start-up have been fully developed.

Likewise, SiGLA has taken care of the comprehensive management of the civil works and also the electrical lighting installations, the cooling installation, the air conditioning, the fire-fighting, security and CCTV systems, as well as the complete equipment and furniture.

The supermarket is located in a premises integrated into a building and with a surface area of ​​2,000m2, of which, just under 1,200m2 correspond to a sales room and the rest to warehouses, cold rooms, access areas and checkout,… Under this surface, two parking floors reserve 80 parking spaces exclusively for supermarket customers, adding to the virtues of an urban location the ease of access by private vehicle.

Two months after its opening, SiGLA technicians conclude the start-up and monitoring phase of all the systems, among which those aimed at sustainability and energy efficiency should be highlighted since they manage to reduce energy consumption by 60%. compared to a conventional supermarket.

With this implementation, Eroski resumes investment in its own points of sale after years of promoting the opening of franchises.
