The Baix Empordá Shopping Center opened its doors in July 2013.

SiGLA signs the installation of a new Xina Center on Costa Brava Bulevard.

The new establishment will occupy 3,000m2 on the ground floor of the north mall.

Gentalia has successfully concluded negotiations for the installation of the Asian group’s fourth establishment in Catalonia, which will occupy three available premises in the Baix Empordá Shopping Center. The three stores, which together add up to 2,995m2 GLA, are located in the medium-sized area of ​​the Center and have direct access from the parking lot.

Xina Center has three other establishments located in Manresa, Tarragona and Barcelona, ​​and is planning to open this new bazaar in Palafrugell for July 1, coinciding with the start of the tourist season in the area. In this way, it will begin its journey taking advantage of the influx of summer population that in high season reaches more than 700,000 inhabitants in its area of ​​influence.

This is the first experience of the Chinese group in a Shopping Center since the other three establishments are located in industrial estates.

Located in Palafrugell, a municipality on the coast of Girona, the Costa Brava Bulevard Shopping Center was developed by SiGLA and inaugurated on July 23, 2013. It has a total area of ​​22,300m2 distributed over two floors.

The ground floor has two areas: a large hypermarket operated by Esclat, a mall with four stores in front of the checkout line totaling 900m2 GLA and six small stores in the gallery. On the other hand, a medium-sized area with seven outdoor locations, which together add up to 5,700m2 GLA, and in three of which the new Xina Center will be located.

The upper floor, with access and its own surface parking, has another five premises for 4,400m2 GLA. Likewise, the Esclat hypermarket has a 3,000m2 premises above its establishment on this upper floor.

The Center also has nearly a thousand parking spaces between the two parking lots and 5 entrances and exits to the outer development.

With this agreement, SiGLA’s asset management and marketing area has achieved the implementation of a new establishment that consolidates and promotes this Center as a commercial reference in the Baix Empordá region.
