Aldi will set up shop in the Rioja Commercial Park, in Logroño, following the report prepared by SiGLA.
The Real Estate Due Diligence requested by Aldi from SiGLA’s technical and property advice has corroborated the suitability of the operation and the project.
It will be the German chain’s big bet in La Rioja: serving the Riojan public from the capital of the Community, and the question is whether the location in a Commercial Park with the presence of an Alcampo establishment is the most appropriate option. It involves purchasing the warehouses of the former Ferrer Sport Center and adapting them to operate as an Aldi Supermarket.
To help with this decision, Aldi Spain managers have contacted SiGLA’s consulting area in order to hire the writing of a report that seeks to clarify different technical and financial aspects.
The resulting work materialized in two reports. The first related to the verification of the real estate asset: description, possibilities and estimated value, written in January of this year 2017; and the second, written in March, and related to the analysis of the project to be carried out as well as validating it as the best solution in its case.
It is worth highlighting the existence of an expensive geothermal installation that is intended to be rescued and put into operation as an air conditioning system for the generation of both heat and cold since it is a system of maximum efficiency and offers great value to the corporate responsibility policy. and environmental of Aldi.
After the analysis of this consulting work, Aldi has decided to build a Supermarket of its most current model, with 1,200m2 of sales room and 90 parking spaces that will open to the public at the beginning of this summer.
